Guinea
At Expo 2020
The expo has three subthemes: opportunity, mobility and sustainability. With its deep connection to water and nature, Guinea will participate in the sustainability theme. By participating at Expo 2020, Guinea affirms its position on a global platform as an ambitious player in West Africa and encourages the visiting public to visit and invest in Guinea.
A specially chosen Expo team together with the Committee of Sages initiated the theme and idea for Guinea’s participation at Expo 2020. The committee comprises of experts in their field and is respected for their vast knowledge. Further and together with the Expo consultants, the Guinea team translated the thematic idea into various sections at the pavilion and for marketing communications.

The Throne of Prosperity & the Nimba Statue
In the swampy coastal region between Cape Verga and the city of Conakry in Guinea live the Baga people. The Baga are also known for their historic animist pieces of artwork. They are also famous for the creation of the Nimba statues and the Thrones of Prosperity. Blessed by the creator god known as Kanu and carved almost entirely from single pieces of wood, the Nimba statue together with the Throne of Prosperity potentially has the power to bring wealth, riches and overall wellness to the person who sits on it.
The Nimba statue and the Throne of Prosperity will placed at the Guinea Pavilion for the period of the Expo. If you’re looking to manifest more abundance in love, money, work, or lifestyle, visit the Guinea Pavilion and take a seat on the Throne of Prosperity!
